2. You will be sent a written quotation for the audit and certificate.
   
   
3. If you decide go ahead with certification, we'll arrange an appointment with you.
   
   
4. You will be asked to complete a form (see download area) containing information about your facilities and to return it to us 3–4 weeks before the audit. Afterwards you will receive an audit plan explaining how the audit will proceed based on the information entered in the form.
   
   
5. Main audit on your premises
   
   EuropeSpa med/wellness:
   
   
   • Interviews with individuals or groups on the audit categories and random inspection of documents
     
     
   • Inspection of the facilities together with those in charge
     
     
   • Final meeting (usually including a look at photos taken) attended by the management or their representative

6.  Evaluation of the findings and production of a final report.

7.  Assuming the criteria are met: 

• You will receive the EuropeSpa certificate from the European Spas Association (either by post or delivered personally).

• Your establishment will be listed on the www.europespa.eu international quality platform for a period of three years from the date on the certificate.

Control audit 

• EuropeSpa med: Brief scheduled control audit about 18 months after the award of the certificate including an inspection of your premises (duration: about 1 day)
  
  
• EuropeSpa wellness: Anonymous test ('mystery check') 8–24 months after the main audit
